Rave Retailer is a fully managed, multi-tenant eCommerce platform — “manage your business, not your technology.” Each retailer gets a conversion-optimized store, a widget-based page builder, deep product information management, built-in email marketing, and even a branded native mobile app — all run for them.
As Architect and Lead Developer, I designed the platform core: tenant isolation, the serverless runtime, the integration framework, and the supplier-to-retailer product syndication network.

Rave Retailer is the anti-Shopify: a done-for-you platform where the technology disappears. Stores ship with a drag-and-drop website builder, a serious PIM that syndicates catalogs to Shopify, WooCommerce, and Magento as well as Rave's own storefronts, abandoned-cart recovery, email marketing and push notifications, and autoship subscriptions — plus specialized B2B and direct-sales (MLM) capabilities most eCommerce platforms won't touch.
The platform runs serverless on AWS Lambda with a hybrid Google Cloud storage layer — flagship brands get dedicated cloud projects and storage buckets. Every retailer lives in their own isolated database with per-tenant caching, and the platform can clone any store into a full staging environment. Custom domains and SSL certificates are provisioned automatically.
Integrations follow a pluggable provider pattern I designed: payments (10+ gateways from Stripe and PayPal to retail financing), shipping (FedEx, UPS, ShipStation, ShipHero), tax (Avalara, TaxJar), and direct-sales back-office systems (DirectScale, Exigo, RapidFunnel, TeqTank) all drop in as interchangeable strategy classes.
A companion vendor portal lets suppliers manage wholesale catalogs and distribute products selectively to retailer stores — a supplier-to-retailer syndication network on top of the same platform. And each brand can ship its own native mobile app, backed by a dedicated mobile API.
The product information system alone has evolved through 175 database migrations and supports catalogs past the half-million-SKU mark, with high-volume order processing, Algolia-powered search, and ~60 background job types keeping stores in sync. I led the engineering team while contributing to product direction — the platform now powers stores for national direct-sales brands and is distributed white-label through partner marketplaces.
